Hi, I'm Tomm 👋
I’m a Human Computer Interaction PhD student and casual academic at UTS with undergrad degrees in IT and Transdisciplinary Innovation (BCII). My research explores how the design of social technologies shapes the experiences of queer people.
I'm fascinated by the interactions people have with technology and by the ethical, philosophical and societal implications surrounding them. I also have interests in social innovation, complexity and data science (and visualisation).
If I'm not working/studying, I can usually be found out on the street with my camera, buried in a tech/sociology book or hacking on side projects.
You can find my daily ramblings on Twitter, my photography on Instagram, and my CV here. If you'd like to email me, feel free to reach me at email@example.com.
Sculpture(s) finished a couple weeks back but I thought that in any case, it’d be better late than never to share some images. It’s the third or fourth time I’ve gone since I’ve lived in Sydney and I enjoy it both for the works themselves and the opportunity to observe (and capture) the ways in which my fellow visitors interact with them. Lots of people take their cameras to photograph the works but I’m much more interested in the ever changing dynamics of the sea of people that I find myself in.
